T & C’s
Course bookings & payments
- Classes are booked in 6 session blocks. This enhances continuity and progression for participants.
- Full payment for the 6 session course must be paid by cash, BACS or cheque on attendance of or before the first class of the course you are wishing to attend. All Payments made are non-refundable or transferable.
- Participants are encouraged to attend the same class each week. However, they will have the chance to “catch up” any sessions that they were unable to attend by dropping into another class currently running on the timetable (availability permitting). There is a safe maximum capacity to the studio and catch up spaces are offered on a first come first serve basis. Any “catch ups” must be used by the end of that particular 6 session course. I.e. Cannot be carried on to the next 6 session course.
- Drop in sessions are available at £10 per class, must be booked in advance and are offered on a first come first serve basis.
- Once a participant is attending a course of Pilates they can continue to attend regularly by re-paying the course fee on or before the first session of the forthcoming course. Failure to renew course fees in full on week one for a new course may result in losing your place in the class. Participants need to make the teacher aware as soon as possible if they do not intend to continue on the forthcoming course. This enables the place to be offered to others on the waiting list for a class.
- The class timetable is subject to change. Participants will be notified in as much time as possible of any changes to the timetable or class teacher.
- No classes are held on bank holidays or days that the class teacher is unavailable.
Informed consent & Health Screening
- All participants must have completed and submitted their Informed Consent Health Screen questionnaire prior to taking part in the class. It is the responsibility of the participant to complete this document accurately and honestly and to inform the class teacher of any relevant changes to their health, medical conditions or medication or adverse reactions to the exercises. This document evidences the participant’s agreement that:
‘ I (the participant) hereby state that I have read, understood and answered honestly the pre-exercise health screen questionnaire. Any questions I had were answered to my full satisfaction. Whilst every effort is made to keep the class safe and enjoyable, I understand that I am participating of my own free will and that as with any exercise programme there is a risk of injury. I consent to participate in a group Pilates based exercise class’.
- Pregnancy: all clients must inform the instructor if they become pregnant, this to ensure exercises are modified to keep them safe as their body changes during pregnancy. Post-natal ladies need to be medically cleared to join or return to Pilates. New Pilates clients that are pregnant and have never done Pilates before should wait until their 12 week scan to start, providing they have medical clearance to do so. New clients that are experienced in Pilates are safe to continue their exercise as long as it is modified for pregnancy.
Studio conduct
- Participants arriving more than 15 minutes late for a class will not be permitted to take part due to health & safety reasons.
- All mobile phones must be switched to silent during the class please.
- Participants are required to bring their own hand towel to use over head block and to wear socks when using a studio mat or other studio equipment involving their feet.
- Never exercise through pain, please stop and ask for help / guidance.
- Everyone in Zest Pilates classes is to demonstrate respect, equality, and inclusion, with no prejudice. Anyone found to be causing harm (physical / emotional / mental) to others will be instructed leave classes and not return – at the discretion of the instructor.

- 48 hours notice required for cancelling / re-arranging bookings. For bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours notice 100% of the sessions fee may be required at the discretion of the Pilates teacher.
- Payments are to be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer on or before the session takes place.
- A screening form must still be completed by the client for 1:1 sessions.
